Path from Vic to Sant Pere de Casserres PR C-40

Cumulative elevation gain: 201 metres
Uses: You can travel by car as far as the Vic-Sau Parador. A signpost indicates the path. If travelling by car, you can park at the Fussimanya restaurant and rural accommodation establishment in Tavèrnoles, at the Casa de Colònies Les Tallades (residential activity centre) and in the Sau Valley. The entire path is suitable for mountain bikes (90% cyclable) and some sections are suitable for horse trekking.

Description of the route

On this route we will find megalithic remains in Sant Jordi, neolithic finds in the Grioteres Caves, the Iberian settlement of Savassona, bridges, farmhouses and various examples of Romanesque architecture, including churches and the Monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres.
